We ask about your mental health history, your family’s mental health history, medical conditions, current medications, and any special accommodations you may need. all personal health information is kept confidential and in accordance with state privacy rules.

As part of this process, we pay close attention to factors such as any personal or family history of schizophrenia, psychosis, or bipolar disorder; history of suicidal thoughts or attempts; and the presence of serious heart conditions or unmanaged high blood pressure. We also review current medications—especially SSRIs, benzodiazepines, and others that may impact safety or effectiveness.

When needed, we collaborate with trusted medical providers for additional screenings to ensure we have the fullest picture before moving forward. This careful, team-based approach helps us create a safe, supportive, and well-informed foundation for your healing journey.
